Background:
In mid-2024, some TypeWell users on Windows 11 began experiencing lag after recent updates, including version 23H2 (KB5043076 and KB5043145). This performance issue, affecting only certain Windows 11 configurations, was traced back to an unusually high frequency of system messages introduced by the update, which overwhelmed TypeWell’s internal processes.
Diagnosing the issue was challenging, as the behavior varied across systems. Our developers conducted extensive testing to pinpoint the root cause and find a user-friendly solution. The fix, now included in our latest update (version 887), bypasses the message overload, restoring normal function for affected users.
We encourage any users experiencing lag to install the update which includes this fix. We will continue monitoring feedback to ensure the resolution remains effective across different system configurations.
