We understand that circumstances can change, and we want to ensure our refund policy is transparent applied fairly and consistently to all sponsors and candidates.
Basic Skills Course (BSC)
The Basic Skills Course is open only to sponsored candidates. A sponsor may be an employer, agency, school, or other organization that has agreed to support the candidate’s pathway into professional work. In some cases, candidates may be responsible for paying the course fee directly.
Once enrollment is confirmed and the course begins, course fees are generally non-refundable, except in cases of verified extenuating circumstances.
Extenuating circumstances
If a candidate must withdraw due to circumstances beyond their control, a partial refund or credit may be considered. Requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed.
Examples of eligible extenuating circumstances include:
- Medical emergency or injury (candidate or immediate family member)
- Major household changes (death in the family, marriage/divorce, birth or adoption, relocation)
- Job loss or other significant loss of household income
- Military deployment or other formal service
- Verified technical issues that prevent course participation
- Displacement or major disruption due to natural disaster
Refunds or credits, if approved, are prorated based on the percentage of the course completed at the time of withdrawal.
Timing and payment considerations
- Withdrawals before Lesson 12 may be eligible for partial refund or credit if extenuating circumstances are verified.
- Withdrawals after Lesson 12 are not eligible for refund or credit, as this marks the point at which the majority of instructional review and mentoring begins.
- Payment plan arrangements, if offered, do not change refund eligibility. Once a candidate reaches Lesson 12, the full course fee is considered earned, regardless of payment method.

Refund or credit requests must be submitted using the Refund or Credit Request Form on our website and should include supporting documentation. We may follow up by phone or email to clarify details or request additional information.
Refresher Course
Refresher Course fees are non-refundable except in cases of verified extenuating circumstances. Self-pay candidates may follow the same request process described above.
