updating revisions on V7

From the Typewell typing screen, we could check to see if there were new revisions; and if so, we only had to click on a link where we could automatically install the new revisions. I don't find that anywhere now unless I reinstall tw715transcriber.exe, which I believe reinstalls Typewell. Is this the only way to get the revisions?

Hi Karen,

The “Check for Updates” feature works the same way it always has. It pings the TypeWell server to see if there’s a newer revision available. If you already have the most current revision, it will return a message telling you so. However, if there’s a newer revision available, then you can click OK to open a webpage and download the update. You do have to install it over the existing program (but it will automatically keep your PAL, and it usually just keeps the same license key).

There’s never been an automatic installation feature, but that’s on the wish list for future development.
