TypeWell is a Windows program. So, in order to run it on an Apple Macintosh computer, you must use a virtualization software like Parallels or Boot Camp to run Windows, and then run TypeWell using that.
Note that Windows is not included with your purchase of Parallels. You must separately acquire a copy of Windows to go with the virtualization software and with your Mac. See the system requirements on the Parallels or Boot Camp website for details.
Vista users: There is a problem with Windows Vista under Parallels that prevents TypeWell wireless linking from working properly. However, Vista under Parallels works fine for the course software or other non-linking purposes.
An Apple Mac running TypeWell as described above is fully capable of using all of the transcribing features of TypeWell. It can also be configured to wirelessly link with TypeWell on another computer, using any of our linking methods except for Internal Linking (which only works on Windows 10, 8, and 7 computers).
